Jobity Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
JOBITY LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, operates Jobity. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: support@jobity.io.
This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do. It applies to jobity.io, app.jobity.io, our emails, and the email relay.
The Service is offered to people located in the United States and is not for anyone under 18. You can use it to apply for jobs posted anywhere in the world.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account information — name, email address, password or sign-in identity, time zone.
- Career profile — your resume and everything extracted from it: work history, employers, titles, dates, education, schools, degrees, skills, certifications, licenses.
- Contact and location details — phone number, address, city, country.
- Job preferences — desired roles, seniority, locations, employment types, salary expectations, matching settings, and free-text notes you add about yourself.
- Application answers — the answers you save or approve for employer application questions, including answers about work authorization, visa sponsorship, and other eligibility topics you choose to provide.
- Cover letters and uploads — files you upload and documents you generate.
- Support correspondence — what you write to us.
2.2 Sensitive information
Employer application forms sometimes ask about race or ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, criminal history, and similar sensitive topics.
- By default, the Service selects a “decline to answer” option for race/ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status where the employer offers one. We do not ask you for this information and we do not build a profile of it.
- If you choose to provide such an answer yourself, we store it as part of your application record so it can be submitted and so you can see what was sent.
2.3 Information we generate
- AI Output — tailored resumes, drafted cover letters, generated application answers, job-match scores, and summaries of email you receive.
- Application records — which jobs were applied to, when, the answers submitted, and whether the submission succeeded or failed.
- Vector embeddings — numeric representations of your profile used to match you to jobs.
2.4 Email received and sent through the relay
If you use the email relay (see Section 6), we receive, store, process, and forward messages sent to your Jobity relay address and replies you send through it — including sender addresses, subject lines, full message bodies, and attachments. This includes the personal information of recruiters and employer staff who write to you.
2.5 Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, actions taken, IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 8.
- Session and security data — sign-in times, session tokens, last-active timestamps.
2.6 Payment information
Payments run through Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly. We do not store your full card number. We keep the subscription status, plan, transaction records, and the identifiers Stripe gives us.

We do not use your personal information to train artificial-intelligence models, ours or anyone else’s.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Automated decision-making
The Service is substantially automated. Automated systems rank and filter jobs for you, draft the content of your applications, answer employer questions from your profile, and — if you enable auto-apply — submit applications without a human reviewing them.
These systems act on your behalf toward employers. They do not decide anything about your access to Jobity itself, and no employer’s hiring decision is made by us. You can turn auto-apply off at any time in your profile settings, which returns the Service to review-first mode where you approve each application before it is sent.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers who process it for us, under contract, and only on our instructions. We describe them by category, because the specific providers in each category change over time:

Our AI providers are contractually barred from using your information to train their models or for their own purposes. If you want to know which providers we currently use in any category, email support@jobity.io and we will tell you.
We also transmit your application content to employers and their applicant tracking systems when we submit an application for you. That is the point of the Service. Once an employer has it, the employer’s own privacy practices govern it, not ours.
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights and safety of anyone, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will tell you.
6. Email relay
If you use the relay, we issue you an address on a domain that Jobity operates and put it on your applications.
- Mail to that address arrives at our systems, is processed automatically — including by AI that classifies and summarizes it — and is then forwarded to you. Replies you send through the Service go back out the same way.
- Senders are not told the address is a relay. People who write to it will treat it as your address.
- We store the full content of relayed mail, including personal information about the sender.
If you are a recruiter or employer who has emailed a Jobity relay address and you want to know what we hold about you or ask us to delete it, email support@jobity.io.
7. How long we keep it
We currently retain your information indefinitely. We do not automatically delete accounts, profiles, application records, or relayed email after any set period.
You can ask us to delete your account and your information by emailing support@jobity.io. We handle these requests manually and will confirm when it is done. Some information survives a deletion request:
- payment and tax records we are required to keep;
- information already delivered to an employer, which we cannot recall;
- backups, which are overwritten on their own schedule.
8. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure how the Service is used, and measure our advertising.
- Essential — sign-in sessions and security. The Service does not work without these.
- Analytics — to understand which features are used and where the Service fails.
- Advertising measurement — we may share a hashed version of your email address and conversion events with major advertising and social platforms (such as Meta, Google, and LinkedIn) so we can measure which ads produce signups. Hashing means we do not send your address in readable form. We do not sell your information, and we never send these platforms your resume, your applications, or your email.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some parts of the Service will stop working if you block essential ones. To opt out of the advertising measurement described above, email support@jobity.io and we will exclude your account.
9. Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access and correct your profile at any time in the Service;
- Download or view your applications and their submitted answers;
- Turn auto-apply off, returning to review-first mode;
- Stop using the email relay — email us and we will disable it for your account;
- Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message — you will still receive essential service and billing notices;
- Ask us to delete your account and your information by emailing support@jobity.io;
- Close your account — email us and we will close it.
State privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence, you may have further rights — to know what we collect, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw a consent you gave, to limit the use of sensitive information, to receive your data in a portable form, and not to be treated worse for exercising any of these. We extend all of these rights to every Jobity user in the United States, regardless of state. To exercise them, email support@jobity.io from the address on your account. We will verify your identity, respond within the time the law allows, and will not charge you or degrade your service for asking. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the hashed-email conversion measurement described in Section 8, which you can opt out of by emailing support@jobity.io.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, isolated infrastructure, and monitoring to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization. Use a strong, unique password and tell us at support@jobity.io if you suspect a problem with your account.
11. Children
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email support@jobity.io and we will delete it.
12. Where your information is processed
We operate in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. Some of our service providers may process it in other countries on our behalf, under contracts requiring them to protect it.
When you apply to a job posted outside the United States, we transmit your application to that employer in its own country. That is the purpose of the Service. Once an employer has your application, that employer’s practices and its country’s laws govern it, not ours.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For material changes we will give at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the Service before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the end of this page always reflects the current version.
